Living the Christian life is difficult, so being able to consult solid, Biblically-grounded Christian resources is an absolute necessity! Remember: everything you read and everything you are taught (whether on this website, another website, at church, through a book, etc.) MUST be filtered through a proper understanding of the Bible.
In fact, John Calvin (an influential figure in the Reformation) is said to have once noted that no theologian is likely to be more than 80 percent accurate in their theology. Now, Calvin was – and remains – a very controversial figure within the Body of Christ. But whether you agree with his theology or not, you must admit that his statement here is a thought-provoking one. The Apostle Paul wrote, in 1 Corinthians 13:12,
"For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known." [ESV]
My point is this: nobody walking this earth today – no human being, no matter how educated, wise, or pure in heart – has a perfect understanding of all the attributes of God and His will. Given the fallen state of our world, it’s impossible.
This in mind, here is a list of sources that I have compiled over the years which seem to typically have a strong, Biblical basis to their teachings. Feel free to browse them and peruse them as you will!
I would ask that you keep in mind that no amount of study of these sources is meant to replace your reading of the Bible or your attendance in and involvement with your local church. These are merely supplemental resources that are designed to (hopefully) increase your understanding of who God is.
